The purpose of making NATO is that after the first and second world war many European and North Atlantic countries like the USA (united states of America) and Canada felt a threat from the USSR (Union of the soviet socialist republic) therefore the USA decided to make North Atlantic treaty Organization it was signed between several North American and European states and this treaty was actually signed on 4 April 1949.this is the main purpose of making North  Atlantic treaty Organization.

the North Atlantic treaty Organization says that an attack on one member country means an attack on all NATO member country it is an intergovernmental military alliance. if any country attacks one country all of the NATO member countries defend that country and they act as the attack on our country.

there are lots of jobs NATO performs the first priority is it Prevents all the Member countries from attacks, Health diseases, and other Several and economic problems. they act collectively if they feel problems all member countries help the victim country.

If one of the member countries feels crises like an economic issue or health issue then all member countries collectively manage those problems like a part of that country.
